چکیده

Spatially explicit densities of wildlife are important for understanding environmental drivers populations, and density surfaces intraspecific classes allow exploration links between demographic ratios conditions. Although spatially class valuable, conventional design-based estimators remain prevalent when using camera-trapping methods unmarked populations. We developed a surface model that utilized camera trap distance sampling data within hierarchical generalized additive modelling framework. estimated common ungulate, white-tailed deer Odocoileus virginianus, across three large management regions in Indiana, United States. then extended simple statistical theory to test differences two density. Deer was influenced by landscape fragmentation, wetlands anthropogenic development. documented class-specific responses availability concealment cover, found strong evidence increased recruitment young tied resource from agricultural land use. The coefficients variation the total estimates we surveyed were 0.11, 0.10 0.06. Synthesis applications. Our strategy extends enables managers use traps better understand spatial predictors more precise than previous sampling. Population can our detect finer spatiotemporal changes or intraspecific-class densities. Such be linked use, regimes on habitat harvest limits game species.

Scent Lure Effect on Camera-Trap Based Leopard Density Estimates

Density estimates for large carnivores derived from camera surveys often have wide confidence intervals due to low detection rates. Such estimates are of limited value to authorities, which require precise population estimates to inform conservation strategies. Using lures can potentially increase detection, improving the precision of estimates. However, by altering the spatio-temporal patterni...

Determination of Spatial Distribution Pattern Analysis of Acer Velutinum Species in two Elevation Classes using Distance Sampling Methods (Case Study: Asalem Nav Forests, Series No. 2)

One of the important features of plant communities is the spatial pattern of trees. The spatial pattern of the stands determined by measuring and positioning of trees in the stands and inserting them in analytical frameworks. This is because spatial information allows natural resource managers to make and perform better-informed decisions, -. The aim of this study was to assess the spatial patt...

Adaptive Sampling of Implicit Surfaces for Interactive Modelling and Animation

This paper presents a new adaptive sampling method for implicit surfaces that can been used in both interactive modeling and animation. The algorithm samples implicit objects generated by skeletons and efficiently maintains this sampling, even when their topology changes over time such as during fractures and fusions. It provides two complementary modes of immediate visualization: displaying “s...

Density-Controlled Sampling of Parametric Surfaces Using Adaptive Space-Filling Curves

Low-discrepancy point distributions exhibit excellent uniformity properties for sampling in applications such as rendering and measurement. We present an algorithm for generating low-discrepancy point distributions on arbitrary parametric surfaces using the idea of converting the 2D sampling problem into a 1D problem by adaptively mapping a space-filling curve onto the surface. The 1D distribut...

Using the Bhattacharyya Distance in Functional Sampling Density of Particle Filter

The particle filter for nonlinear state estimation of discrete time dynamic stochastic systems is treated. The functional sampling density of the particle filter strongly affecting estimate quality is studied. The density is given by weighted mixture of the transition probability density functions. The weights are calculated using distance of two reference variable probability density functions...
